We were looking for pasties and since it was 6pm, everywhere else in the area was closed except bars. I didn't want to go to any bar with kids. We decided to try this place even though it's located in a convenience store type place. … More

Small "hole in the wall" sort of place where you know the good food is always home. The large beef pasties are exceptional.... Which is why we always stop here on our visits to the U P. (FYI: The corn beef pastie I would not recommend as … More

I can see why these are loved. We stopped here on a windy fall morning, and the warm filling pastie (Pass-tee) was exactly what I craved. I was a bit let down because although it looked delicious, the rutabaga chunks were hard to chew and I … More

Great food and also fantastic service, we also had a picky eater in our group who wouldn't eat anything off the menu, and the store accommodated him and offered other options More

I love hole in the wall restaurants & this was no exception! The service was great - our waiter from Jamaica was a hoot! The steak bowl & pasty were so delicious! More

Bear in mind that this was my first pasty so I have no idea if they are good compared to other pasties. However, I loved it! It needed a hint more salt but was otherwise very flavorful. The coleslaw was fantastic! Perfect blend of sweet and tangy. It's in a convenience store - nothing fancy, but we are so glad we went.

I had my first pasty here. It was pretty good. Small dining area connected to a convenience store. I enjoy eating at local spots when I travel and this location has a homey feel with a very nice staff.

We fell in love with pasties a few years back on a trip to the U.P. We stopped here to try their pasties.
I had high hopes but on first bite, the crust wasn't that good, the potatoes used were frozen little squares, there was not a lot of meat and the flavor just wasn't very good.

Honestly as a Texan girl who has never heard of a Pasty, it was actually pretty good. It definitely was giving Shepherds Pie vibes, but in hand held version. I heated mine in an air fryer as was recommended and it came out with a nice crispy crust. I love the flavor of the dough; however, the meat and potatoes did lack flavor. Again my personal opinion on the flavor, but honestly I would most definitely eat here again. Service was phenomenal and the ladies gave me a back story on the pasty and oh….Get the gravy! The flavor of the gravy did make up somewhat for lack of flavor, but still delicious. Thank You Ladies

I’ve been on a trip through Michigan this week and these venison pasties are the best thing I’ve eaten on my whole journey. The venison was so nicely spiced, and the gravy was addictive. I’m staying in Mackinaw city but am considering paying the toll just to cross the bridge and get more! More

My wife and I came to visit the U.P. From Texas. We were anxious to try the areas pasties during our 4 weeks of travel all through the U.P. We ate a lot of Pasties from different areas. We ordered our Pasties and sat down to eat them. We both looked at each other and said, these are the best we’ve had. They had taste which many we tried elsewhere lacked. The pastry was top notch and the meat was more than adequate.
At another shop nearby we ordered a pasty with gravy, the pasty and the gravy were both very bad, this was our first pastie on the U.P. My wife almost gave up on the pasties, I told her we couldn’t give up based on one. We both agreed no more gravy , it was that bad.
After telling the owner how happy we were with the pasties we told her about our prior gravy experience, she immediately suggested we try her gravy, my God it was delicious. I was so upset I didn’t get it for the pastie I just finished!
We talked of a bit and we bought another 10 to take home with us.
I love it when I visit a small business where the owners take such pride in their product. She was very patient in educating us in the world of pasties.
When we come back, it will be our only pastie stop! Now if we can all get together and talk them into shipping them!

Fabulous place to visit! Young man was working alone. He was very chill. There were no less than fifteen people being served while we were there. He handled himself fabulously! He served everyone...didn't get rattled...ask each person questions and wished us to drive safely home! Very impressed...as if you couldn't tell! Oh, and the pasties were good too!😉😁
